Program Outline
In the Master of Public Health program, we educate professionals who are competent in engaging in public health activities to prevent diseases and promote health. We especially value abilities to tackle various issues related to global aging, epidemiological transition of disease structure, emerging infectious diseases and globalized and diverse society. Our goal is to make our world better and happier through the work of public health professionals we foster.
Careers described below are some examples of possible directions of graduates of this course.
- Proceed to doctoral degree course
- Governmental public health sectors
- Pharmaceutical and health-tech industries as an epidemiologist or biostatistician
- International organizations such as WHO or UNICEF,etc.
- Conduct clinical studies as a medical doctor
Curriculum For the courses and credits for the Master of Public Health Program, students shall complete a total of at least 30 credits, which consist of 18 credits from the Compulsory Courses and 12 credits from the Compulsory Elective Courses and Common Courses for Master of Medical Science Program, including at least 2 credits each from the following four areas of the Compulsory Elective Courses: Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Care Policy and Management, Environmental Health Sciences, Social Science and Behavioral Science

Social Life Science: 2 credits
Seminar on Medical Science: 8 credits
Experimental Research on Medical Science: 8 credits
Credits for Seminar on Medical Science and Experimental Research on Medical Science will be given for seminars and experimental research activities by the professor (see Research Group PDF for the list) who supervise your Master Thesis research.
